The Face Of Love

Ok now that we have a facebook page that can import news from out website we might actually start updating it more. So this is the first post blogged from my iPhone. I’m on my way home just after MacDonalds.

Awesome time tonight, even though there were lots away. Ness talked about being the face of love to each, which is a really awesome way of thinking about bringing Jesus to a world in need. I’ll try get the video up soon, and for all those away here’s a pic of this week.

Next week we’re having a social day SR. Good time to bring your friends.

SolidRock is on this week

Hey everyone, Solid Rock is on this week the 26th, so see everyone then !!!!! Pray for people that are on the mission trip, they’re leaving Tuesday morning REALLY early.

I’ve blogged the interview with the lead singer from Anberlin on my blog. Oh and a couple of points I left of my talk cause we were running out of time:

1) We have to bring real selves to God in order to understand God’s love. If I bring the person I want to be or who I pretend to be, then I’m trying to please God by being someone else, or only thinks he loves the good part of me or pretend me that I make up. But God loves us for who we are.

2) We need to love people no matter who they are, even if they are people some Christians say we shouldn’t hang out with. What I realised is, that if we are hanging out with people to be validated or feel loved ourselves, then we are more likely to do any bad things they may be doing, in order to be cool or feel accepted. But if we love ourselves and know God loves us, then we can go in just trying to love other people, and not worry about doing the things that might not be good for us.

That’s the theory anyway. As I said, I’m sooooo far from this that I don’t know where to go from here. But I pray that you and I do start.
